Frequently asked questions

Sound stops when my phone locks or I switch apps. Make sure background audio is allowed: on some devices, Low Power Mode or Focus settings can interrupt playback. Ambient is designed to keep playing when the screen locks or you switch to another app.

I don’t hear anything. Check the ringer/silent switch and the volume — Ambient plays through the media volume, not the ringer. Also confirm no other app has taken exclusive control of audio output (e.g. a call or another player).

How do presets and scenes work? Presets save a mix of layers, levels, and mode settings so you can recall a favorite soundscape instantly. Adjust any layer and save it as a new preset from the settings sheet.

What does the Sleep Timer unlock (in-app purchase) include? It’s a one-time purchase that unlocks the full sleep timer — countdown durations, auto-fade out, and unlimited use. It’s processed securely through Apple; if you believe a purchase didn’t unlock correctly, use Restore Purchases in Settings, or email us with your purchase date.

Does Ambient collect any of my data? No. Ambient works fully offline, has no analytics or tracking, and stores your preferences only on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
