Sudoku Ladder (“the app”) is developed by Lucas Langlois. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it’s used.
Account identity. The app creates an anonymous account for you on first launch (via Supabase Authentication) so your progress, ratings, and race history can sync across sessions. This identity is a random ID — we do not collect your name, email, or any other personal information to create it.
Gameplay data. To power the rating system and matchmaking, we store: your difficulty and speed ratings, race outcomes, daily time-attack results, and “ghost” replays of your solves (used to let other players race against a recording of how you solved a puzzle). This data is tied to your anonymous ID, not to your real-world identity.
Advertising data. The app shows ads (via Google AdMob) in its solo practice modes, unless you turn on the free “Remove Ads” option in Settings. If ads are shown, Google may collect a device identifier, usage/interaction data, coarse location, and diagnostic data to serve and measure ads. On iOS this is gated by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt — you can decline tracking at any time, and the app remains fully free and functional either way. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how AdMob handles this data.
Diagnostics. Standard crash and performance diagnostics may be collected to keep the app stable.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. We do not sell your data.

We may update this policy as the app evolves (e.g., if a future paid tier or additional backend features are added). Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
